Our Focus
When you join one of my virtual supervision cohorts, we will focus our time on

Growing Your Diagnosis & Treatment Skills
Not only will you learn more about DSM diagnosis, assessment, and treatment planning, but you will walk away fully competent in several new treatment modalities and theories of therapy.

Creating a Supportive Consultation Community
The group aspect allows for you to not only find support through your supervisor, but through your peers. Utilizing each other in case review and education can help you see new viewpoints and approaches.

Identifying your Career Goals & Passions
Social Work is so much more than only clinical work. We will spend time identifying your goals, finding populations or issues you are passionate about, and exploring career post-LCSW career options.
The Logistics
Structure & Meeting Times
Supervision groups are offered bi-weekly. Sessions will alternate between discussion/case consultation and education. Check the supervision interest form for the current group offering times.
In addition to the group sessions, supervisees are required to attend four one-hour individual supervision times over the course of the supervision program. These will occur at 6, 12, and 18 months of supervision and on completing supervision. These sessions will serve to create individual goals for supervision, assess individual progress or concerns, and identify strengths and indiviudal interests.
Investment
The current investment for joining a supervision cohort is $75 per 2-hour supervision group. Required individual hours are billed at the same rate ($37.50) as group hours and can be used to substitute an hour of group supervision or added in addition. Additional individual hours outside of required sessions are minimally available. If individuals are needing regular individual supervision, this supervision group may not be the right fit.
Supervision Requirements
I am currently providing supervision in Texas. The BHEC Social Work Licensing boards require you to complete 3000 practice hours as an Licensed Master Social Worker. During this time, you are required to attend 100 hours of supervision at a rate of 4 hours a month. Supervision must be at least 24 months long but there is no limit to how long it can take you to complete your supervision and practice hours.
